Compression - Operations Associate

Our market-leading services connect a network of participants and deliver advanced algorithms that rebalance and reduce risk—enhancing market efficiency and liquidity, improving client returns, and increasing financial system safety.

Since launching in 2017, Post Trade Solutions Optimisation (formerly Quantile) has eliminated hundreds of trillions of dollars in gross notional through interest rate compression and billions in margin via initial margin optimisation. We recently introduced a capital optimisation service to assist financial institutions in meeting new regulatory requirements and reducing risk-based capital.

Our clients include top-tier global banks, regional banks, and large institutional market participants. We are headquartered in London, with offices in New York, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate quantile optimisation runs, including setup and configuration
  • Assist with trade data quality analysis and communicate issues to clients
  • Present optimisation proposals to clients and secure approval
  • Coordinate with middle and front office teams for acceptance
  • Support post-run processes such as trade booking and regulatory reporting
  • Test operational features for readiness in production
  • Manage onboarding and service growth for clients
  • Present analysis, review results, and suggest enhancements
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with clients to understand their needs and issues

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in a financial or numerate field (mathematics, physics, economics, engineering, computer science) with a minimum 2:1 grade
  • Excellent English communication skills for varying levels of seniority
  • Attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and work independently
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong team player with high responsibility and motivation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Data analytics skills in Excel Pivot, Python, or Tableau are advantageous
  • Knowledge of derivatives such as IR swaps, cross-currency swaps, FX FWD, NDF is a plus
