Job summary

Oxford Archaeology invites applications for the Project Supervisor (Post-Excavation) at the Cambridge Office. The role focuses on post-excavation analysis, data interpretation and publication, with potential flexibility in working patterns.

The successful candidate will contribute to a range of projects and may support other departments as needed. Applicants should have post-excavation experience, a degree in archaeology, and familiarity with software such as MS Office, Access, AutoCAD or GIS.

Qualifications

• Experience of post-excavation work and writing archaeological reports.
• Good understanding of archaeological stratigraphy and interpretation of excavated sites.
• Thorough knowledge of British archaeology.
• Ability to conduct post-excavation tasks and to undertake research.
• Ability to collect, record, store and present post-excavation data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Post-excavation analysis leading to outputs and contributions.
• Writing grey literature reports and publications (including journal articles).
