Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Tutor to support an 18-year-old male with Autism Spectrum Disorder and significant communication and learning needs. The role is 1:1 and face-to-face, based in the SN10 area, with a preference for a setting away from the family home when possible.

The successful candidate will deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, with potential history and geography, and provide SEMH support, mentoring, and independence skills development in a patient, structured

• Experience working with learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex communication needs preferred.
• Experience in delivering 1:1 tutoring in home or community settings beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1, face-to-face tutoring to the student in the SN10 area.
• Support English and Maths through Functional Skills and potentially History/Geography.
• Provide SEMH support, mentoring and independence skills development in a structured setting.

We are seeking a Tutor to support an 18-year-old male with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), significant communication needs, sensory differences and learning difficulties. He has attended specialist provisions throughout his education and would benefit from a patient, adaptable tutor who is confident supporting learners with additional needs.

Provision Details

Location: SN10 area

Delivery: 1:1, face-to-face

Preferred Setting: Away from the family home where possible

Subjects: Functional Skills English, Functional Skills Maths, Potentially History and Geography

Additional Support: SEMH support, mentoring and independence skills development

About T

T has a strong interest in History and Geography and would enjoy opportunities to explore these subjects alongside his core English and Maths learning, this however is not mandatory.
