Linwood School is advertising Teaching Assistant roles for the Skills Centre at Post 16 Campus, Parkstone, Poole. The positions are paid within BCP Salary Band 5 (£20,122 - £22,190) and pro-rated for a 30-hour week across 39 weeks per year.

Appointments start at the bottom of the salary range. There is a 6-month probation with on-site after-school training, and applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 full days per week.

Qualifications

• 6-month mandatory probation during which on-site Monday after school training sessions to enhance work and skill levels.
• Commitment to on-site training sessions and to a minimum of 2 full days (12 hours) per week.
• Safeguarding and DBS checks are required; compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

• Support Post 16 provision in Parkstone, Poole as part of the Skills Centre.
• Help students aged 16–19 develop employability and independence skills and engage in practical curriculum activities.
• Assist with the development of practical activities within the Skills Centre and community.
