Randstad Education in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Post-16 SEN Teaching Assistant to support young adults (16–19+) with a range of SEND in a specialist provision. Flexible day-to-day supply and long-term placements are available.

You will assist with life skills, literacy and numeracy, practical learning, and personal care where needed, while tracking progress and contributing to EHCP targets as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with SEN in educational or care settings.
• Qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Health & Social Care, or Youth Work are desirable.
• A patient, encouraging approach to promote independence in young adults.

Responsabilités

• Life skills and independence support including literacy, numeracy, cooking, personal finance, travel training, and community navigation.
• Vocational and practical learning support in workshops, work experiences, and off-site activities.
• Targeted classroom support with 1:1 or small groups and adapted materials.
