Job summary

Ngccare Cardiff is seeking a Post-16 Support Worker to empower young people aged 16 and over to develop skills, confidence and independence. You will play a key role in helping them pursue personal, educational, employment and life goals.

The role involves building relationships with young people and families, supporting education and employability pathways, and promoting wellbeing while safeguarding and reporting concerns in line with organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people aged 16–25.
• Knowledge of education, employment pathways and internships.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and support young people.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with young people and families.
• Provide one-to-one and group support tailored to needs.
• Support access to education, training, apprenticeships, employment and volunteering.
• Develop independent living skills including budgeting and travel.
• Support goal setting, action planning and personal development.
• Promote wellbeing, resilience, and self-confidence.
