Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an innovative candidate to engage with Post 16 young people, building pathways into employment and ensuring quality careers input in Lincolnshire.

You will work with schools, education providers and employers to secure improved outcomes, using creative approaches and strong relationship-building to support young people from care backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with Post 16 young people.
  • Knowledge of care legislation and national policies related to preparation for adulthood.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with schools, Post 16 education and employers to improve employment outcomes for care-experienced young people.

  • Establish and sustain key relationships with partners and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are looking for innovative candidates who can work collaboratively with schools, Post 16 education and training settings and employers to secure improved employment outcomes for care experienced young people. Lincolnshire is one of the largest county councils in the UK. About You

To be considered for this new and exciting role, you will need experience of working with Post 16 young people and the ability to be creative in your approach to engaging with them. Knowledge of relevant care legislation, national policies and initiatives would be desirable, with a particular focus around preparing for adulthood and routes into employment.Therefore effective communication skills and the ability to establish and sustain key relationships is essential for this role.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Our working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
