Job summary

Allens Croft Primary School in Birmingham is seeking two Lunchtime Supervisors to supervise children during lunch and outdoor play, ensuring a safe, engaging and healthy environment. Full training will be provided for the right candidate, with a 1-year fixed contract, term-time only (7.5 hours per week).

The role requires communicating clearly in English and working collaboratively with staff to maintain high standards of wellbeing and behaviour. Experience is desirable, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable, but full training will be provided.
• Good spoken and written English is essential.
• Ability to work well with others and follow school rules.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the dining hall and playground.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support school rules.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during lunch and outdoor play.
• Assist with mealtime routines and hygiene practices.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to support pupils.
• Communicate effectively with children and staff in spoken and written English.
• Remain calm and supportive in challenging situations and prioritise safeguarding.
