Job summary

Joseph Norton Academy is seeking a Positive Engagement Coach to lead the coordination, design and delivery of activities supporting children with SEMH needs. You will work with partner organisations to create safe, effective provisions across settings.

The role requires compassionate, patient individuals with experience in schools and a driver’s licence. A starting salary is offered with excellent professional development within the Wellspring Academy Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school or similar setting.
• Ideally experience with children/young people with SEN/SEMH.
• GCSE Maths and English required.
• A-Level or Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, design and deliver activities to support children in SEMH.
• Establish networks with organisations to ensure safe, effective provisions.
• Support workload wellbeing of pupils and staff in a welcoming environment.

Location: Busker Lane, Scissett, Huddersfield until we move to our brand New School in Deighton.

THE ROLE

As our Positive Engagement Coach you will take the lead in the coordination, design and delivery of activities to support children in a SEMH special school. You will work with a variety of organisations and establish appropriate networks to ensure safe and effective provisions at a range of settings.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Experience in a school or similar setting
• IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
• MUST be educated with GCSE Maths and English
• A-Level or relevant L3 qualification or experience working at this level
• Car driver with access to vehicle and business insurance

WHAT WE OFFER

• Starting salary for this Positive Engagement Coach role is £29,997 actual annual salary working 37 hrs per week.

• Mon-Fri, term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust.
