Job summary

Liaise is a leading provider of specialist support services for adults with complex learning disabilities. The Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will work in our Chingford service, collaborating with key workers to help service users develop relationships, skills and independence so they can pursue all opportunities.

To ensure a measurable positive impact on people we support, the role will focus on reducing restrictive practices, improving STOMP scores and achieving strong CQC ratings.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or working towards one.
• Experience with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.
• At least 1 year experience as a Positive Behaviour Practitioner.
• Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (2005) and related regulations.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead practice development and staff training to improve skills across the team.
• Attend PBS Network meetings and contribute to Liaise training and development offerings.
• Conduct functional assessments and write reports relating to behaviour.
• Support service teams with education and development for service users.
• Ensure effective communication with families, professionals and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
• Contribute to data collection and analysis to support service improvements.
