Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for a Primary & Nursery setting in Leicester. The role focuses on supporting pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills across Nursery, Reception, and KS1.

You’ll work with teachers and parents to apply consistent strategies and promote inclusive, trauma-informed practices. The role is full-time, term-time only, with an immediate start option or next academic term, offering dedicated CPD and opportunities to

Qualifications

• Experience in Primary, Nursery, or EYFS settings.
• Knowledge of SEND, SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and attachment-informed approaches.
• Confidence implementing behaviour interventions and monitoring outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioural and emotional support to pupils.
• Lead small group interventions targeting social skills, emotional literacy, and self-regulation.
• Support children in Nursery, Reception, and Key Stage 1 classrooms.
• Assist pupils with transitions, routines, and coping strategies for daily activities.
• Observe, assess, and record pupil progress and behavioural outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, EYFS staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams.
