Job summary

Compass Associates are partnering with a national provider to recruit a Regional PBS Practitioner for Adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This home-based role covers Northamptonshire and the Northeast Anglia region, with some travel across Ipswich, Colchester and Norwich.

You will deliver Positive Behaviour Support across services, coaching teams and developing person-centred plans, with travel up to four days per week and central location in Cambridgeshire for easy

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent required.
• Proven experience applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
• Willingness to travel up to four days per week to cover the service region.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

Responsibilities

• Support staff and managers in implementing PBS strategies through coaching and training.
• Develop, review and implement Behaviour Support Plans aligned with individual needs.
• Perform functional assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with service managers, multidisciplinary teams and families to uphold person-centred care.
• Lead initiatives to reduce restrictive practices and promote least-restrictive approaches.
• Act as a regional PBS specialist to drive service quality across residential and supported living settings.

£38,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance

Home-based with regional travel (covering Northamptonshire and the North of East Anglia, including Ipswich, Colchester, and Norwich)

Compass Associates are delighted to be working exclusively with a national provider supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This home-based role plays a key part in delivering Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across services throughout Northamptonshire and the Northeast Anglia region, including Ipswich, Colchester, and Norwich. The successful candidate will ideally be based in Cambridgeshire due to its central location to the services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support staff teams and managers in the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies through coaching, mentoring, and tailored training programmes
• Develop, review, and implement Behaviour Support Plans that are aligned with individual needs, preferences, and outcomes
• Carry out functional assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve quality of life and behavioural outcomes
• Work collaboratively with service managers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to maintain high standards of person-centred care
• Lead initiatives aimed at reducing restrictive practices and promoting positive, least-restrictive approaches across services
• Act as a regional PBS specialist, driving service quality and enhancing staff practice across residential and supported living environments

Skills & Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent, with substantial experience and a proven track record in the application of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
• Minimum of two years’ experience working within a PBS-focused role
• Willingness to travel up to four days per week to conduct field visits across the designated service region
• Full UK driving licence and access to own car
