Qualifications

• Underwriting knowledge: understanding delegated/portfolio underwriting concepts.
• Portfolio insight: assess portfolio performance and identify key issues for referrals.
• Governance awareness: know due-diligence, referral processes and authority levels.
• Market experience: experience in Portfolio Solutions or Lloyd’s market aids placement platforms like PPL/Whitespace.
• Analytical and collaborative approach: strong problem-solving and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage delegated arrangements: underwrite existing deals, endorsements and new proposals.
• Assess opportunities: review submissions, docs and financials for quality and alignment with appetite.
• Oversee governance: monitor activity with respect to terms and governance frameworks.
• Analyze portfolio performance: evaluate profitability, mix, trends using data and AI-enabled tools.
• Build effective partnerships: collaborate with Actuarial, Delegated Underwriting, ECM, Compliance and brokers.
