Job summary

The CNA Hardy portfolio solutions team is seeking a Portfolio Solutions Underwriter in London to support delegated underwriting arrangements across facilities, consortia and other portfolio solutions. Qualifications

• Understanding of insurance underwriting theories and practices.
• Experience in delegated or portfolio underwriting arrangements.
• Knowledge of governance, due diligence and referral processes.
• Experience in Portfolio Solutions or Lloyd's market advantageous.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage delegated arrangements: support day-to-day underwriting of existing deals, endorsements and new proposals across facilities and portfolio solutions.
• Assess opportunities: review submissions, contract docs, due diligence materials and financial info to determine quality and alignment with appetite and objectives.
• Oversee governance: monitor underwriting activity across lifecycle with clear referrals and escalation where needed.
• Analyse portfolio performance: assess profitability, mix, indexation metrics and trends using data and analytics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Build effective partnerships: collaborate with actuarial, delegated underwriting, ECM, compliance, finance, brokers and other stakeholders.
