Our client, a leading global company, are recruiting for a Portfolio Project Manager to join the team on a remote basis.
Portfolio Project Manager roles and responsibilities:
- Assist the Portfolio Director in the oversight of multiple projects within the portfolio
- Monitor key project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks across the portfolio, working with key project leads to ensure accuracy of information
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure timely and efficient reporting and governance
- Act as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior leaders, project teams
- Facilitate regular status meetings and communicate project updates with clarity and consistency
- Proactively identify stakeholder needs and manage expectations
- Maintain and enhance portfolio dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Smartsheet, or project management platforms)
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible
- Provide regular reports and summaries to the Portfolio Director to inform decision-making
- Support the development and implementation of project and portfolio management standards, processes, and templates.
- Identify and recommend improvements to increase portfolio efficiency and transparency
- Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the project teams
