Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Project Planner for its Onshore Renewables portfolio. You will develop and maintain Primavera P6 schedules across development, construction and life-extension projects, coordinating with engineering, procurement and site teams to keep programs realistic and on track.

Lead critical path analysis, assess delays and change impacts under NEC3/NEC4, and deliver clear planning reports to support executive decisions and performance management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling for large scale projects.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site execution.
• Experience using Primavera P6 to build and manage complex programmes.
• Experience working under NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including delay impacts and contractor claims.
• Track record of specific projects with defined roles and client/contractor organisations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain construction-focused project schedules across full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and site construction teams to reflect site conditions.
• Identify critical paths, delays and risks; support mitigation strategies.
• Conduct delay analysis and assess time impact of changes and claims under NEC contracts.
• Provide planning reports and insights to inform decisions and performance management.
