Job summary

National Wealth Fund is seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead the PM function, managing a diversified portfolio of debt, guarantees and equity assets. The role focuses on risk management and input into new transactions to deliver positive financial returns while supporting the Fund’s mission to invest profitably and drive UK growth.

Hybrid role based in Leeds with a salary range £60,000–£80,000, offering opportunities to engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to the Fund’s long-term

Qualifications

• Understanding of financial investment products.
• Commercial awareness and ability to digest complex information.
• Experience in high-value, sensitive projects with delivery accountability.
• Experience in counter-party management.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress on key projects and escalations.
• Collaborate with AD/Director to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and review financial models and perform sensitivity analyses.
• Summarise results to recommend actions aligned with Fund objectives.
• Engage with project sponsors and management teams to assess progress.
