Job summary

National Wealth Fund in Leeds seeks a Manager in the Portfolio Management function to oversee a diverse debt, guarantee and equity portfolio and manage client relationships as assets move onto the balance sheet.

You will support risk management, input into deal pipelines, and help deliver profitable investments aligned with the Fund's mission, including UK carbon reduction and local growth goals.

Qualifications

• A strong understanding of financial investment products.
• Commercial awareness and ability to digest complex information.
• Track record on high value, sensitive projects with accountability for delivery.
• Experience in counter-party management and representing the Bank with clients, banks and law firms.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress and escalate risks to mitigate impact on investments.
• Contribute to and update internal models; analyse outputs and run sensitivity analyses.
• Analyse large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information; summarize results to support actions.
• Attend site visits and review project progress with management to assess alignment with plans.
• Negotiate and coordinate necessary documentation; test covenants and future projections.
• Prepare reports for Investment and Credit Committees on risks and pricing considerations.
• Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners including HMT.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in relevant industry conferences.
