Job summary

Hetherley Capital Partners is seeking an experienced Hotel Financial Controller or Finance Manager in West London, with travel across a four-hotel portfolio. The role is perfect for someone ready to move from a single-hotel remit to portfolio-wide responsibility.

You will work with General Managers to ensure accurate financial information, robust controls, and clear performance insight across the portfolio, initially taking responsibility for one property while supporting others.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel accounting and a good understanding of hotel P&Ls and balance sheets.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or part-qualification would be helpful, but strong practical hotel finance experience is more important.
• Experience with Opera, Sage, Xero, Sun, Access, Fourth or similar would be useful.
• Strong Excel skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Take financial ownership across the wider hotel portfolio.
• Prepare and review monthly hotel management accounts.
• Review hotel P&Ls, balance sheets, reconciliations and cashflow.
• Produce variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Work with General Managers to understand performance and identify actions.
• Maintain controls across purchasing, supplier payments, revenue, cash, debtors and creditors.
• Monitor payroll, VAT, working capital and hotel cashflow.
• Support budgets, forecasts and reforecasts.
