Job summary

Rathbone Brothers in Liverpool seeks an experienced Application Manager, Functions Technology to lead the stable, secure operation of the Functions application portfolio. You will manage the application team, coordinate suppliers and partner with stakeholders to improve service performance and deliver change safely.

The role is hybrid, with a 12-month FTC. You will own governance, incident response, risk controls and delivery of an improvement roadmap across the portfolio, reporting on service

Qualifications

• Led a material portfolio of enterprise applications and multidisciplinary support teams.
• Experience with supplier management and service performance.
• Experience in a regulated environment with audits.

Responsibilities

• Own service performance, operational resilience and lifecycle management across the Functions portfolio.
• Lead the application team and coordinate matrixed contributors and suppliers.
• Ensure risks, controls, access, audit actions and remediation are actively managed.
• Govern suppliers against service, commercial and contractual obligations.
• Ensure change enters service with clear ownership, support, documentation and operational readiness.
• Provide concise MI on service health, risk, expenditure and priorities.
• Lead major incident response, problem management and corrective action; reduce recurrence and operational disruption.
• Coordinate cross-portfolio dependencies and escalations with Technology Service, Architecture, Cyber Security and Delivery.
• Set clear accountabilities, priorities and performance expectations for the application team.
• Coach colleagues and maintain knowledge sharing; uphold a no-blame, high-accountability culture.
