Purpose of the role
To support the portfolio in delivering successful change by ensuring that processes and practices align with relevant controls and governance standards, and that all activities support the strategic objectives of the business area and organization.
Accountabilities
- Support the portfolio in delivering successful change by aligning processes and practices with controls and standards, ensuring activities support strategic objectives.
- Facilitate portfolio prioritization, ensuring compliance with control frameworks, including oversight of controls and standards.
- Support effective governance of the portfolio, establishing and operating Portfolio Governance for quality, data-driven decision-making, and timely executive reporting.
- Monitor portfolio performance, track progress, identify risks and issues, and report status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the Book of Work, prioritizing change initiatives considering resources, stakeholder buy-in, and risks.
- Oversee change delivery to ensure alignment with policies and standards, monitor control adherence, remediate weaknesses, and enhance control maturity.
- Review, resolve, escalate, and manage portfolio risks and issues, supporting resolution and challenging where necessary.
- Engage stakeholders through clear communication and effective portfolio management processes.
- Empower portfolio management resources, leveraging data to inform decisions, and promote accountability and transparency.
- Provide best practice guidance and training to embed controls and governance excellence across the portfolio.
