Job description

We are looking for hard working, reliable and flexible individuals to work as a member of the Facilities Team.

You will carry out a wide range of portering duties in a 24hr/365 days a year service, covering both patient and non-patient duties.

The work is varied and requires initiative, awareness, and good customer service skills. You must be able to work as part of a team and have a flexible approach to working hours, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays, which are essential to meet the department's needs.

Enhancements are paid for late shifts, weekends, nights, and bank holidays.

The position is on a shift basis, covering earlies, lates, nights, weekends, and bank holidays on a set roster.

A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL TO THIS ROLE.

This includes sorting, delivery, and collection of mail in the post room; transferring patients; moving equipment and furniture; and handling linen, medical records, and drugs.

Full training will be provided.

A full driving licence, including driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, is required.
