University Sussex Hospital NHS Trust provides general hospital services to Brighton and Hove, the West of East Sussex, Mid Sussex, and specialised tertiary services across the south east of England.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide a high-quality, prompt, and efficient Porter service to patients, staff, and visitors, including the movement of patients, equipment, documentation, and food in a safe manner.
2. Maintain clean and safe equipment and environment in accordance with the Porter SLA, respond to service needs, and seek to improve productivity and quality.
3. Undertake duties to ensure an efficient Porter Service in both patient and non-patient areas.
4. Ensure personal conduct is of the highest standard, exhibiting courtesy and efficiency at all times.
5. Work in line with health, safety, security, and Trust policies, including infection control.
6. Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures as required, including major incidents, bomb alerts, and fire procedures.
7. Be aware of and act according to the Trust’s Values and Behaviours initiative.
