Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is seeking a Maritime Security Officer for Loch Ryan Port, Cairnryan. You will perform passenger searches, baggage screening, and vehicle checks to safeguard people and port infrastructure.

You will monitor restricted areas, manage access, and respond to incidents with clear documentation and reporting. Training is provided; shifts include nights and weekends, with a 4 on 4 off pattern. Apply to join a dedicated security team.

Responsibilities

• Passenger screening with respectful, compliant searches.
• Operate baggage screening and manual checks of items.
• Carry out vehicle security inspections prior to boarding.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify IDs.
• Maintain visible port security patrols and CCTV monitoring.
• Identify and escalate incidents per port procedures.
• Complete logs and incident reports for audit purposes.
• Provide clear information and reassurance to passengers.
