Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is seeking a Maritime Security Officer at Holyhead Port to protect passengers, crew, vessels, and port infrastructure. You will ensure ISPS procedures are followed and maintain a visible security presence as part of the port security team.

The role involves passenger and baggage screening, vehicle checks, access control, patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting. Full training is provided, including ISPS procedures; shifts are 12 hours with a 4-on/4-off pattern and duties

• Strong situational awareness and alertness at all times.
• Willingness to learn with full training provided including ISPS procedures.
• Flexibility to work at short notice and on rotating shifts.
• Teamwork across security, operations and vessel turnaround

Responsibilities

• Conduct respectful passenger screening in line with ISPS and procedures.
• Operate X-ray screening equipment and perform bag searches.
• Carry out vehicle security checks prior to boarding.
• Monitor restricted areas and verify identification for access control.
• Maintain visible security presence through patrols and CCTV.
• Identify and escalate incidents per port procedures.
• Complete logs, search records and incident reports accurately.
• Provide clear, polite communication to passengers
