Job summary

CLdN is seeking two Maintenance Engineers to service, inspect and repair terminal equipment at the Ro-Ro Shipping terminal on the North bank of the River Thames. You will work with a strong engineering team and travel to other CLdN Terminals to support operations.

The role requires City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent, a valid UK driving licence, and strong fault diagnosis skills. Commitment to health and safety and willingness to develop competencies for apprentices are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent.
• Desirable 10 years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Ideally holds a formal H&S qualification and knowledge of RA’s.
• IT literate on multiple platforms and maintenance software.
• Full UK Driving Licence and passport for travel.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, clean and repair Terminal equipment (tractors, reach stackers, forklifts, RTG’s and trailers).
• Diagnose faults and implement high quality repairs with safety and procedures in mind.
• Travel to other group Terminals to support a wider engineering team as needed.
• Liaise with Terminal Managers to minimise operational disturbance.
• Uphold health and safety standards and contribute to policy improvements.
• Engage in competency training for yourself and apprentices.
