Job summary

High Life Highland Leisure Centre in Scotland invites applications for an enthusiastic lifeguard and centre assistant. You will supervise water activities, enforce safety, deliver first aid, and lead inductions in the Fitness Suite. You will also promote High Life Memberships and provide high levels of customer care to centre users.

You will stay updated on procedures, support cross-functional teams, and help maintain cleanliness and safety standards across facilities.

Qualifications

Safe supervision of facilities and health and safety of all facility users.
Provide effective, preventative life guarding and respond to emergencies per training.
Deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite and promote High Life Memberships.
Provide high level of customer care and maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment.

Responsibilities

Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture to support HLH values and purpose.
Ensure safe supervision of facilities and health and safety of all facility users.
Provide life guarding across pool sessions and carry out emergency action plans.
Maintain training to current Health & Safety standards and assist with water/land-based activities.
Organise and lead activities and classes; teach swimming as required and promote memberships.
Liaise with centre staff and users, update procedures, and report improvements.
Carry out reception/cashier duties and deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite.
Promote and sell High Life Memberships to customers and provide excellent customer care.
