Job summary

High Life Highland in Inverness is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard and Leisure Attendant to support the Swimming Programme and centre operations. You will supervise pool safety, deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite, promote memberships and provide high-level customer care while upholding health and safety standards.

This role offers opportunities for training and cross-functional teamwork within the Leisure team.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive workplace culture and support HLH values to boost morale, productivity and performance.
• Ensure safe supervision of facilities and health and safety of all users.
• Provide effective, preventative life guarding of all pool sessions.
• Carry out emergency action plans and water rescues as required.
• Maintain training to comply with Health & Safety regulations and HLH standards.
• Assist and supervise safe operation of water and land-based activities.
• Organise and lead activities and classes within the programme.
• Teach swimming as part of the Swimming Programme where paid accordingly.
• Deliver inductions in the Fitness Suite and promote memberships.
• Provide high level customer care and liaise with centre staff.
• Attend training to support continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Assist across HLH projects and cross-functional tasks as needed.
