Job summary

Wentworth Club seeks a Pool Operations Manager to oversee indoor/outdoor pool and creche facilities, ensuring exceptional member experiences. The role includes duty manager shifts, staff rotas, and strict health and safety compliance across wet and dry areas.

You will lead a team, coordinate with department heads, and develop SOPs, ensuring high presentation standards and safe, welcoming environments for members and guests.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Experience with leisure/hospitality booking systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of Pool Hall, Outdoor Pool, and Creche facilities to satisfy members and guests.
• Line-manage lifeguards and junior teams, ensuring staff development.
• Recruit staff with adequate cover year-round and manage budget forecasts for pools.
• Deliver safety and training programmes (FAA/W training) and maintain up-to-date qualifications.
• Act as Duty Manager on a rotational basis and ensure swift issue resolution.
