Polish Speaking Support Worker
Pay rate: £14.50 per hour (Monthly Pay)
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts (8am-8pm) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays

We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in their family home in Southampton.This person suffered from a cardiovascular accident which has resulted in weakness to the right side of his body, cognition and short term memory deficits but this does not define him.More interestingly they love art work and has a passion for drawing and loves going out into the community in their wheelchair.To make the most of trips out and about, we need people who are local to Southampton and know the area, and can drive a car, holding a full UK Driving Licence.

Enriching activities will be an important factor in your support, and you will bring a wonderfully empathetic approach to truly make a difference to this person’s life. You will also need to bring previous experience with you in the following:

• Polish Speaking
• Brain Injury
• Behaviours that could be perceived as challenging

What will your shift involve?

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs.Your responsibilities will include engaging with him in meaningful activities and taking him out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being.Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence.Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.

This role sits within our Team Brain Injury family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands-on Complex Care Manager.
