Qualifications

  • Degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting research, policy, stakeholder engagement, knowledge exchange, or health services projects.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience organising meetings, workshops, conferences, or stakeholder events.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • Experience preparing professional reports, briefing documents, or presentations.
  • Strong IT skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholder engagement activities with NHS England, ICBs, and other bodies.
  • Deliver workshops and help coordinate policy-focused outputs.
  • Assist in producing policy-facing communications and reports.
  • Contribute to evaluating and disseminating policy recommendations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, well-organised, and highly motivated individual to support the delivery of a Policy Support Fund project that will translate findings from the NIHR-funded GPNET-0 Study into actionable policy recommendations for sustainable general practice. The project aims to work closely with NHS England, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), professional bodies, patient representatives and other key stakeholders to inform policy development, commissioning, and implementation activities that support NHS Net Zero ambitions.

The postholder will play a central role in supporting stakeholder engagement, workshop delivery, policy-focused communications, and the production of policy-facing outputs.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate seeking experience at the interface of research, policy, and climate-health action, while strengthening their CV.

Essential:
  • Degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting research, policy, stakeholder engagement, knowledge exchange, or health services projects.

  • Experience working with NHS organisations, local authorities, professional bodies or third-sector organisations.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods.
  • Experience supporting evaluation and impact activities.
  • Ability to working flexible times (with notice) depending on project activities and study requirements.
