Job summary

Unitemps Warwick is seeking an experienced, well-organised fellow to examine governance, design, and effectiveness of Heat-Health Alert Systems. You will combine policy analysis, stakeholder interviews, policy engagement activities, and parliamentary engagement to develop actionable recommendations.

The role sits at the intersection of climate change, public health, policy, and governance, supporting research aimed at strengthening heat resilience and reducing health inequalities.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting research projects involving evidence reviews, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, or qualitative research.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, interviews, or stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information appropriately.
  • Knowledge of climate change, public health, governance or health policy.
  • Experience conducting or supporting qualitative research and stakeholder interviews.
  • Familiarity with policy engagement, knowledge exchange, and science-policy interfaces.
  • Experience organising conferences, workshops, policy events, or stakeholder consultations.

Responsibilities

  • Support an innovative fellowship examining the governance, design, and effectiveness of Heat-Health Alert Systems.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, well-organised, and highly motivated individual to support an innovative fellowship examining the governance, design, and effectiveness of Heat-Health Alert Systems. The fellowship is led by Dr Ana Raquel Nunes and will combine policy analysis, stakeholder interviews, policy engagement activities, and parliamentary engagement to develop recommendations.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of climate change, public health, policy, and governance, supporting research activities that aim to strengthen heat resilience and reduce health inequalities.

Essential:
  • Degree in public health, environmental sciences, climate change, social sciences, policy studies, geography, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting research projects involving evidence reviews, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, or qualitative research.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, interviews, or stakeholder engagement activities.
