Job summary

TfL, GLA or OPDC is seeking an Operational Policy Officer – Offender Management and Problem Solving. The role focuses on developing and delivering policy and programmes to safeguard customers on TfL networks, partnering with internal teams and external partners to reduce antisocial behaviour and manage offenders.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of TfL strategy and objectives (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of policing and transport services in London (essential)
  • Good knowledge of Offender Management processes (essential)
  • Good knowledge of Problem-Solving techniques (SARA model) (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of TfL organisation, culture and structure (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Support work across a portfolio of topics in Security Policing and Enforcement (e.g. Offender Management, Problem solving, rough sleeping, crime reduction)
  • Plan project deliverables and prioritise demanding workloads
  • Manage multiple projects/requests and deliver to timescales
  • Engage stakeholders with guidance and recommendations on policy issues
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project milestones
  • Monitor benchmarking activity to align with best practice
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings and notes
  • Collaborate with TfL teams to integrate enforcement considerations early in policy development
  • Act as an advocate for best practice and efficiencies
