Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Consulting Director to join its established practice focused on evaluating UK Government policies and programmes. You will lead in-house evaluators and analysts, engaging with leading experts to deliver high-quality reports and insights for education, employment, and related social policy areas.

You will drive proposals, nurture client relationships, and grow the practice through strategic leadership, market knowledge, and strong project management across complex

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in UK policy research and evaluation in education, employment and youth.
• Experience leading large, complex research and evaluation projects.
• Experience delivering qualitative and quantitative social research methods.
• Experience writing competitive bids or grant applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong commercial skills and client engagement.
• Experience managing large projects and teams.
• Degree, Masters or PhD in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and proactively manage our education and employment strategy.
• Lead growth and integrated offers for government clients (DfE, DWP, MHCLG).
• Focus on generating business through networking and relationship-building.
• Identify and pursue pipeline and new business opportunities in the UK education and employment market.
• Lead proposals for new work, building teams, methodologies and budgets.
• Oversee growth and account management for assigned clients.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic client relationships.
• Provide clients with insights based on market and industry expertise.
• Strengthen methodological capabilities and domain expertise.
