Deliver comprehensive policy launch or cross-functional work products that are integrated into overarching projects, creating meaningful impact in policy work with minimal assistance.

Design, execute, and advocate for policy and standards frameworks, engaging with cross-functional partners to promote trust and mitigate risk for our client. Assess emerging issues, own at least one workflow or project area, and evaluate the impact of local law updates and active litigation. Plan and execute most prioritized project work independently, leveraging team support when needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Identify and recommend creative solutions to evolving or adapting policy problems independently.
• Address escalated issues or triage as required promptly.
• Deconstruct complex problems, frame policy issues, and contextualize solutions for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies for ambiguous problems without clear solutions.
• Collaborate within teams to communicate knowledge across tasks.
• Identify key stakeholders and build networks for cross-team collaboration and success.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
• Engage in thought leadership by working with external partners on policy/process issues or innovative approaches.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for project components.
• Collaborate with technical and vendor teams to support sustainable policy launch and implementation.
• Understand core implications of policy and process changes on systems, enforcement, and operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policy development and implementation from end to end.
• Manage global product policies with regional focus, considering local culture and community values.
• Work with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement product policies for various products.
• Participate in investigations and respond to external inquiries, reviewing real-world investigations.
• Identify and analyze policy issues affecting the business and users, prioritizing accordingly.
• Resolve high-impact policy escalations across products with minimal guidance.

Skills & Experience:

• Effective communication skills across diverse audiences and formats, including adapting communication styles.
• Knowledge of online, international, and multilingual communities.
• Understanding of processes for handling disruptive events threatening stakeholders or the public.
• Fluency in a foreign language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian).
• Fundamentals of policies and product platform knowledge.
• Understanding of internet policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in internet technologies, policy, regulatory environments, and content moderation.
• Proficiency in both French and English communication.
