Deliver complete policy launch or cross-functional work products that are integrated into overarching projects, creating meaningful impact in policy work with minimal assistance.

Design, execute, and advocate for policy and standards frameworks, engaging with cross-functional partners to promote trust and mitigate risk for our client. Assess emerging issues and topics, own at least one workflow or project area, and evaluate the impact of local law updates and active litigation. Plan and execute the majority of prioritized project work independently, leveraging team support when needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Identify and recommend creative solutions to evolve or adapt policies addressing defined problems.
• Triage and address escalated issues promptly.
• Deconstruct complex problems, frame policy issues, and contextualize solutions for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies for ambiguous problems.
• Collaborate within teams to share knowledge on various tasks.
• Build networks with key stakeholders for cross-team collaboration and success.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
• Engage with external partners to demonstrate thought leadership on policy/process issues or innovative approaches.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for project components.
• Work with cross-functional partners, including technical and vendor teams, to support policy launch and implementation.
• Understand the implications of policy and process changes on systems, enforcement, and operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policy development and implementation.
• Ensure policies are operationally feasible and adoptable by enforcement teams.
• Manage global product policies and standards with regional insights, respecting local cultures and community values.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement product policies across various products.
• Participate in investigations and respond to external inquiries and requests related to user content.
• Identify, analyze, and prioritize policy issues impacting the business and users now or in the future.
• Resolve high-impact policy escalations across products with minimal guidance.

Skills & Experience:

• Effective communication skills in both written and oral formats.
• Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences and contexts.
• Knowledge of online, international, and multilingual communities.
• Understanding of how to handle disruptive events affecting stakeholders or the public.
• Proficiency in a foreign language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian).
• Fundamentals of policies and familiarity with product platforms.
• Understanding of internet policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with internet technologies, policy, and regulatory environments, especially regarding online safety, content moderation, and free expression.
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
