Job summary

National Farmers' Union (NFU) is seeking a Policy Adviser for Horticulture and Potatoes to help shape policy across the fresh produce sectors in England and Wales. You will develop policy, engage with growers, packers and government officials, and translate evidence into practical positions that support productive farming businesses.

You will build strong relationships, communicate complex issues clearly to diverse audiences, and work with NFU colleagues to deliver policy that is commercially

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge or practical experience in fresh produce, horticulture supply chain
• Excellent communication across diverse audiences
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, able to influence policy decisions

Responsibilities

• Support and shape policy across horticulture and potatoes sectors across England and Wales.
• Engage with growers, packers, industry bodies and government officials to identify issues and translate evidence into policy positions.
• Represent NFU at meetings and public forums, communicating complex policy issues clearly.
