Job summary

National Farmers’ Union (NFU) is seeking a Policy Adviser for Horticulture and Potatoes to help develop and deliver policy supporting productive, profitable farming and grower businesses in England and Wales. You’ll work with growers, packers and government officials to translate industry evidence into credible policy positions.

You will build strong relationships across NFU and external stakeholders, turning insights into practical policy work while promoting NFU as the leading voice for

Qualifications

Experience in the fresh produce or horticulture supply chain.
Excellent communicator across diverse audiences.
Ability to influence policy and articulate complex issues.

Responsibilities

Support and shape policy across the horticulture and potatoes sectors.
Develop and deliver policy that supports productive, profitable farming.
Identify emerging issues and translate industry evidence into policy positions.
Communicate with NFU members and colleagues to strengthen the organisation's reputation.
Represent NFU at government, industry and stakeholder meetings.
