Job summary

Isle of Man Government’s Department of Health and Social Care seeks a Policy and Legislation Officer to influence health and social care policy across the Island. You’ll research complex issues, draft policy, progress legislation, engage with stakeholders and collaborate across Government to turn ideas into effective laws.

No policy or legislation experience is required at start; you’ll join a small, supportive team and develop specialist knowledge across a broad policy and legislative portfolio

Join the Department of Health and Social Care as a Policy and Legislation Officer and help shape the future of health and social care across the Isle of Man. Working across a varied portfolio, you'll research complex issues, develop policy, progress primary and secondary legislation, engage with stakeholders and collaborate with colleagues across Government to ensure proposals are evidence-based, practical and deliver positive outcomes. From early policy development through to legislative delivery, you'll prepare briefings, consultations, drafting instructions and advice that help turn ideas into effective legislation.

No previous policy or legislation experience is required to succeed in this role. You'll join a small and supportive team where you'll be encouraged to develop specialist knowledge and gain experience across a broad range of policy and legislative work.
