Job summary

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is recruiting Police Officers to serve communities and protect the public. The Policing Plus pathway offers two years of training and a Level 5 qualification without a degree.

You will join a local policing team, gain frontline experience from day one, and progress through probation to independent patrol status while pursuing professional development and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be a British or Commonwealth citizen, or EC/EEA national, or a foreign national with unrestricted stay in the UK.
• Pass the Job Related Fitness Test (5.4 Bleep Test).
• Have resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to application.
• Be able to pass the fitness and recruitment checks and meet the standards required by the Constabulary.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and attend emergency calls.
• Investigate crime, gather evidence and interview witnesses.
• Protect vulnerable people and support victims.
• Engage with communities to build trust and keep people safe.
• Tackle emerging threats such as cybercrime and fraud.
