Job summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Police Station Cleaner (early mornings) to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at Courtland Road Police Station. You will join our Blue Light Soft Facilities Cleaning Team, delivering safe, secure environments for staff and the public.

This permanent part-time role offers 10 hours per week, with 2-hour shifts Monday to Friday, start times at 6am or 7am.

Qualifications

• Honesty, reliability and pride in professionalism when delivering excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of COSHH / Health & Safety and colour-coded cloths.
• Previous experience in a similar role with cleaning solutions knowledge.
• NPPV vetting required and UK residence for last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated police station areas including offices, corridors, toilets and kitchens.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust and empty bins as required.
• Sanitise washrooms and kitchen facilities and replenish consumables.
• Ensure safe use, storage and handling of cleaning products and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues and security concerns promptly.
• Follow site cleaning schedules, risk assessments and company policies.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and confidentiality on site.

Job description

Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced Police Station Cleaner (early mornings) to provide and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our communities. You will be joining our Blue Light Soft Facilities Cleaning Team based at Courtland Road HU6. Our Soft Facilities Management division delivers essential services to homes, schools, universities and public sector organisations - including housing providers and blue light authorities. We focus on creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, with a commitment to quality, community impact and customer care. The Police Station Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, secure, and hygienic environment at Courtland Road Police Station. The role supports the smooth running of the site by ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned to the required standard and in line with health and safety, confidentiality, and site security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated police station areas including offices, communal areas, corridors, entrances, toilets, kitchens, interview room access areas, and other agreed locations.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, wipe surfaces, and empty bins as required.
• Clean and sanitise washroom and kitchen facilities, replenishing consumables where required.
• Ensure cleaning products, equipment, and materials are used safely, securely, and stored correctly.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, damage, security concerns, or stock shortages to the supervisor or contract manager promptly.
• Follow site-specific cleaning schedules, risk assessments, method statements, police station procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, discretion, and attention to detail at all times.
• Use personal protective equipment where required and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Respect all confidentiality and security requirements while working on site.
• Secure cleaned areas where necessary, including switching off lights and closing doors as instructed.
• Complete any reasonable cleaning duties requested by the supervisor or management team.

Key requirements will include:

• You will need to demonstrate your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
• Obligation to adhere to safe working practices and ensure due consideration is given to the safety of the office staff
• Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses
• Knowledge of COSHH / Health & Safety and colour-coded cloths
• The appointment to this role will be subject to completion of a Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Check and must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

This is a Permanent Role of 10 hours per week, working 2-hour shifts per day, Monday to Friday.
