Job summary

Lincolnshire Police is recruiting for police constables with a view to starting on 29 March 2027. You will play a central role in protecting local communities, undergoing a blend of on-the-job and classroom training, and progressing through specialist paths as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a level 3 qualification (or higher).
• Possess a policing qualification approved by the Sector Skills Council for the Justice Sector.
• Be currently serving as a PCSO and completed your PCSO Action Checklist and probation.
• Be currently serving as a Special Constable with independent patrol status and regular hours.
• Be currently serving with, or previously served with the Armed Forces (minimum 2 years).
• Competence in Eastern European languages, Arabic, Far Eastern languages, Romanian and Bulgarian is of interest.

Responsibilities

• Protect local communities and safeguard the public.
• Receive extensive training from day one and operate on the beat.
• Progress through roles such as detectives or roads policing as career develops.
