Job summary

MERKUR Casino UK is seeking a poker floor supervisor to oversee tournament and cash game operations in Aberdeen. You will ensure games run to standard, maintain a courteous atmosphere, and comply with government and company policies.

Role requires accurate recording of entries, re-buys and rake, and active development of the casino's poker offering while working with management and poker dealers to uphold responsible gaming standards.

Qualifications

• Must have an up to date and valid PFL as issued by the gambling commission.
• Must have the ability to work as a team player, whilst maintaining a level of initiative.
• Willingness to work towards a PML as issued by the gambling commission.
• To work alongside poker dealer, gaming manager and general manager in developing the poker offering within the casino

Responsibilities

• Facilitate tournament and cash game poker in the venue to standard and courteous level.
• Accurately calculate and record tournament entries and re-buys, and cash game rake.
• Develop the poker offering within the casino and create a company standard set of poker rules.
• Liaise with management regarding mistakes or suspicious transactions.
• Adhere to LCCP, AMLD, Health and Safety and fire regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and high personal hygiene/appearance; ensure uniform is clean.

Job Purpose

To facilitate the smooth running of all tournament and cash game poker within the venue . Ensure that all the legal requirements as laid down by the government and the gambling commission coupled with all company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. . To ensure all poker games are dealt to standard and in a courteous and professional manner. . Accurate calculation and recording of tournament entries and re-buys, and accurate calculation and recording of cash game rake. . Development of the poker offering within the casino . Creating a company standard set of poker rules to which all games shall be dealt to Main Responsibilities . To give all customers an excellent and attentive service at all times . Create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere . To ensure all policies and procedures in the company manuals are strictly adhered to. . To ensure that all poker games are dealt to required standard . Liaise with management in regards to any mistakes or any suspicious transactions identified. . Adhere to all LCCP, AMLD, Health and Safety and fire regulations. . Technical Skills

Have a good standard of mental arithmetic . Have good manual dexterity . Be able to demonstrate ability to deal poker to a standard that they would expect of poker dealers

Personal Skills

Be focused on gaining knowledge of the poker environment within the local area and also have a strong desire to improve our own poker offer. . Be fully aware of poker compliance currently and able to adapt our own offering within these parameters

Responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance with internal responsible gambling policies and UK Gambling Commission Licence Codes of Conduct and Practice (LCCP). . Prevent gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder or being used to support crime. . Ensure that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way . Protection of children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling. . To promote awareness of responsible gambling strategies and procedures .
