Job summary

MERKUR Slots is seeking a Venue Manager for Weoley Castle in the UK. The role is 45 hours per week with a salary of £36,340.20 per annum plus bonus opportunities. You will lead a team in a 24-hour operation, drive profitability and ensure high service standards.

You will be responsible for budgeting, staff rotas, KPI delivery, and promoting safeguarding and health and safety. The ideal candidate has management experience in retail, hospitality or gambling and is able to adapt to shift patterns

Qualifications

• Experience managing a retail, hospitality or gambling venue.
• Ability to meet budgeted targets and monitor P&L.
• Experience with staff rotas and management reporting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts in a 24-hour operation.
• Proven track record of driving customer service and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance and profitability of the licensed gaming centre.
• Lead venue standards, marketing, promotions, and events.
• Ensure security, cash controls, and loss prevention.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with regulars.
• Develop and train your team; performance issues addressed promptly.
• Recruit and schedule new staff; monitor KPIs and audits.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Overall responsibility for the performance and profitability of a licensed gaming centre
• Champion company standards and best practice within venue.
• Marketing, promotional activities and events are delivered correctly.
• Physical and personal security is maintained.
• Cash/assets are controlled, and any risk of loss is minimised
• Excellent customer service at all times, building and maintaining relationships with regular customers.
• Operate in accordance with LCCP.
• Development of your team and training to be completed in line with launches, refreshed and in line with company policy.
• Ensure that staff are being properly managed and any instances of poor performance or misconduct are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
• Recruitment and training of any new team members for your venue
• Market and competitor awareness
• To ensure venue cash collections are carried out in accordance with Company procedures.
• To monitor and analyse machine income levels.
• To achieve KPIs and audits; this includes international, compliance, etc.
• Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures ensuring the venue operates in a safe manner.
• Ensure that all administration tasks are completed at the correct time and to the required standard.
• To actively manage and promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures.
• To respond positively, promptly and appropriately to all customer feedback / enquiries.
• To maintain a high standard of personal presentation and ensure that all employees always adhere to the brand dress code.
