Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nursing Associate to join the Podiatry Theatre Team at Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality perioperative care for podiatric procedures, under the supervision of registered practitioners.

You will engage with patients before and after surgery, maintain accurate records, support infection prevention, and help with theatre preparation and equipment

Qualifications

• GCSE/Level 2 Maths & English achieved.
• Foundation degree level for nursing associate practice.
• End Point Assessment completed for nursing associate apprenticeship.
• Current NMC registration as Nursing Associate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, admission and preparation for podiatric procedures.
• Deliver care under supervision of registered practitioners.
• Support patients before, during and after surgery.
• Monitor and document patient observations accurately.
• Maintain legible patient records and comply with local policies.
• Support infection prevention and theatre safety practices.
