Job summary

West London NHS Trust is seeking a community podiatrist to assess and treat patients with complex foot health needs, including diabetes foot protection. The role includes supervising junior podiatrists, apprentices and students, and rotations into nail surgery, MSK clinics and a diabetic foot MDT.

You will work across clinics and in patients' homes, promoting self-management and high standards of care, with HCPC registration and Local Analgesia Certificate required.

Qualifications

• Podiatry qualification required and HCPC registration.
• Local Analgesia Certificate required.
• Experience in NHS settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise students and apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with complex foot health needs.
• Provide diabetes foot protection to prevent admissions and amputations.
• Agree care plans and promote self-management.
• Visit housebound patients in their homes.
• Supervise podiatrists, apprentices and students; provide feedback.
• Manage clinics and own caseload; work autonomously and in teams.
• Participate in nail surgery, MSK clinics and diabetic foot MDTs.
• Collaborate with GPs and community health teams; liaise with hospital Diabetic Foot Clinic.
