Job description

Job Opportunity: Podiatrist in the Prison Healthcare Sector

Are you a Podiatrist seeking a new role with career development opportunities? Have you considered working within a prison environment to help rehabilitate and support offenders in living purposeful lives as part of the community?

Prisons offer a challenging yet rewarding setting for healthcare professionals. If you want a role that allows you to develop your skills and learn something new every day, this is the place for you!

We are looking for a Podiatrist to join our team and help maintain the quality of care at HMP Bullingdon, HMP Grendon & Springhill, and HMP Huntercombe. The role involves working 26 hours a month across these sites, with no on-call or weekend work, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

You will be part of a forward-thinking, innovative healthcare team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and mental health professionals, delivering high-quality, best-practice treatment. Additionally, you will be part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team, comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 52 prisons across the country.

You will receive close support and mentorship from our Team Lead Podiatrist. Our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training, and funding for external clinical courses will provide you with an excellent, supportive learning environment.
