Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Project Start Up & Intervention Leader to drive PMO minimum standards and project delivery excellence across the SP&S portfolio. You will lead start-up activities, manage risks from bid to execution and guide the project team to ensure readiness and success.

The role requires deep project management experience in oil & gas, strong communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders. Flexible working patterns are offered with a mix of office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within oil and gas.
• Knowledge of project execution tools, processes and procedures.
• Experience in project supply chain and managing suppliers/customers.
• Understanding of contract and project start up requirements and critical activities.
• Engaging communicator able to influence and change behaviour.
• Strategic mindset with long-term thinking and execution.
• Strong problem solving and professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Define the start-up schedule and resource plan with designated project teams.
• Lead the start-up team ensuring compliance with SP&S Start Up Standard; identify risks from bid to execution; update accordingly.
• Lead the execution project director and teams to ensure readiness and successful setup.
• Lead independent interventions during governance reviews to establish causes and corrective plans.
• Help define and develop PMO best practices, processes and minimum standards aligned with SP&S PMO strategy.
