Job summary

BT Group is seeking a PMO Portfolio Specialist, Cost, to join our Finance & Business Services division in Manchester. You will align PMO governance, develop portfolio data standards and strengthen financial controls across the project portfolio.

You will collaborate with finance, delivery teams and stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy, cost reporting and governance processes, using Power BI and Excel for detailed analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in a PMO-like environment with project controls, reporting and finance support.
• Understanding of governance frameworks or portfolio management approaches.
• Power BI experience including dashboards and reporting outputs.
• Strong governance, reporting, financial control and process management in delivery environments.
• Proficient Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with data handling and dashboards.
• High attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Governance Alignment: align PMO governance frameworks and reporting templates to portfolio requirements.
• Develop consistent standards for project data to enable portfolio reporting.
• Strengthen cost reporting, forecasting, accruals and financial governance processes.
• Produce portfolio reports, dashboards and packs using standardized data definitions.
• Analyse project and financial data using Excel/Power BI to identify risks and actions.
• Support portfolio budget tracking, forecasting and cost reporting.
