Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a PMO Analyst in Rugeley, Staffordshire, to support governance, reporting and data‑driven decisions across maritime and defence portfolios. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Programme Managers and senior stakeholders, delivering accurate dashboards, MI and insights while driving PMO tool adoption, configuration and training.

Applicants should have PMO/Project Controls experience, advanced Excel and strong stakeholder communication; Power BI, Jira and MS Project

Qualifications

• PMO/Project Controls or PMO-related experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience producing dashboards and management information.

Responsibilities

• Support PMO governance, reporting, dashboards and performance metrics.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing administration of the PMO tool.
• Support configuration, testing, rollout, user adoption and training.
• Analyse project, programme, risk, schedule, resource and financial data.
• Produce portfolio-level reporting, trends and management information.
• Support project controls, change control, risk and performance reviews.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities across the portfolio.
• Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools and governance.

Job Title: PMO Analyst

The Role

A client of mine in the west midlands is growing its PMO team and is seeking a PMO Analyst to support project governance, reporting and data-driven decision making across a portfolio of maritime and defence programmes.

In this role you will work closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers, Planners, Risk Managers and senior stakeholders, providing accurate reporting, analysis and insight to improve project delivery and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support PMO governance, reporting, dashboards and performance metrics.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing administration of the businesses new Project Management Tool.
• Support configuration, testing, rollout, user adoption and training.
• Analyse project, programme, risk, schedule, resource and financial data.
• Produce portfolio-level reporting, trends and management information.
• Support project controls, change control, risk and performance reviews.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities across the portfolio.
• Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools and governance.

About You / Background & Experience

• Experience within a PMO, Project Controls, Programme or Project Management environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.
• Experience producing dashboards, reports and management information.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
